Caesars Virginia stakes half a billion dollars on new resort for 2024

A 500-room hotel with a 2,500-seat entertainment theatre and 3,716sqm of meeting and convention space are all part of a $500m resort to be opened by Caesars Entertainment in Danville, Virginia, in 2024. The group has unveiled the renderings and says the new venue, Caesars Virginia, will be an economic driver for the region, not least through the more than a thousand jobs to be created. “Over the course of the last two years, myself, City Council and staff have taken great care to develop plans, alongside residents and Caesars Entertainment, to create a resort that will positively impact the community through new tax revenue, jobs, partnership opportunities with local businesses and tourism dollars,” said Danville mayor Alonzo Jones.
